The exhibition “Rivers, Horizons & Superpowers” brings together a small selection of works that deal with thoughts on the unconquerable.

The way we look at the horizon of the sea has not changed for thousands of years, I would think?

We look at the line where boats and everything else disappear into a possible unknown. The idea of continuity, where the eye cannot find a definitive end, is also present when I think of rivers. Here, rather, the mental images of how they flow and flow, taking with them erosion and all the material that cannot resist the natural forces of their flow.

Nature is the superpower we like to idealise in comics and superhero films. There we create characters who have powers beyond our imagination - that is the hope - and with the blink of an eye we can believe they exist!

Looking up, sideways, down, diagonally and into the distance has its own pleasant charm. .

Das Museum Haus Konstruktiv freut sich, anlässlich seines 35-jährigen Bestehens das Jahresprogramm 2021 mit einer spektakulären Sammlungsausstellung einzuläuten. Unter dem Titel RESET werden ausgewählte Neuzugänge zusammen mit herausragenden, schon länger nicht mehr gezeigten Sammlungswerken präsentiert. Unter der Rubrik «Spotlight» wird die Werkauswahl durch neu produzierte Arbeiten von vier jüngeren Schweizer Künstler*innen ergänzt. Anhand ihrer Positionen machen wir anschaulich, in welche Richtung unsere Sammlung künftig erweitert werden könnte.
